IACSD, SAAD and DSTG recognise the contribution ‘Mentors’ have made to training for inexperienced sedationists.

The IACSD ‘Standards for Conscious Sedation in the Provision of Dental Care’ (April 2015) state that practitioners offering supervised clinical experience in conscious sedation must now be approved by a university, deanery, or by IACSD (STAC) (p34, 86).
